Journey of Life

A long time ago, there lived a grandmother who loved narrating stories. Her name was Rekha. One day some children walked to her home. They were welcomed and Rekha served them a glass of lemon juice and sliced apples.  After some time, the children urged Grandmother Rekha to tell them a story. Granny was all the more delighted.  Rekha began... 


Once upon a time, there lived a young boy whose name was Cyril. He was a fun-loving child. One day, he approached his mother Stella. She beamed at him. Then, she caught the curiosity in his eyes. But, she didn't utter a word. After completing the household chores, Stella sat down and enquired about the reason behind her son's curiosity. He said:  ' Mother, can you please tell me how the journey of one's life is? ' Stella replied: ' Why not dear.' 


'Everyone's life is different. All have a specific purpose to fulfill in this world. You just need to search for it. While searching for the same you may feel tired. Life for some is short, while for others it's short.  During our journey on this earth, we are obliged to fulfill our purpose. When you are happy, share your joy with your near ones. When sad, talk to someone whom you trust, who can give guidance.  Believe in yourself and move on with positive thoughts and you will lead a wonderful life. Finally, you will have satisfaction with your life's journey dear son.'

Young Cyril felt happy within. He hugged his mother and ran out to play with his buddies. On the other hand, Stella sat with a happy face for some time. Then, she resumed her chores. 


Grandmother Rekha asked the children  ' How was the story? Did you get any  from this story? '
The children replied:' Yes Granny....'
They bid goodbye and left for their respective homes.
